Description

Point Curlew is situated amidst 27 acres of peaceful grassed park land, only a few minutes drive from the village of St. Merryn with a post office, petrol station, shops, two pubs and beautiful church. There is a Tesco in Wadebridge and Padstow with a Safeway near Newquay.

North Cornwall is renowned for its ancient fishing villages, magnificent Atlantic coastline and fine sandy beaches and the ancient port of Padstow , steeped in historical customs and traditions is only a 10 minute drive away.

Prideaux Place in Padstow is one of the many sites to visit as are the beautiful Saints Way and the glorious Camel Trail. Take a trip around the estuary or explore the lovely coves and beaches. Sheltered from prevailing winds, Padstow is a haven for fishing, sailing, cycling and walking. Padstow also offers fine restaurants, traditional pubs and locally caught fish and plenty of hospitality. Sit by the harbour and watch the world go by. The most spectacular event of the year is the famous "Obby Oss" festival. This ancient Celtic festival occurs on May Day when dancing and music consume the whole town from dawn to dusk.

The spectacular Eden Project, which opened in March 2001, is less than 30 minutes drive towards St. Austell.

Facilities

This pretty timber chalet has a cosy lounge with cane settee, double bed settee, living flame coal effect electric fire, colour television, video recorder and midi hi-fi system.

The modern fitted kitchen has the benefit of a full-size electric cooker, microwave and refrigerator. There is also a dining table and chairs for six.

The bathroom is fully tiled with a full-size white suite and power shower. The room is finished in antique pine.

There are two double bedrooms, each with its own wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom one has a double bed and bedroom two has adult size bunkbeds. There is also a travel cot and bed guard for the use of visitors.

There is a designated BBQ area on the site (BBQ's are not allowed beside the property.) Sorry no pets!

There is a large Amenity Centre on the estate which includes Reception area and Shop. Here you can obtain groceries, provisions and daily newspapers etc. Also at the Centre is the Launderette, Games Room with pool tables and video games.

There is also the Rainbow Room for 1-7 year olds which is stocked with toys, trikes, games, cars, playhouse etc.

There is entertainment in the Clubhouse every evening throughout the season, a spacious comfortable bar, function/family room and conservatory with ample seating. The quiet lounge is situated close to the main bar. All bars having dining facilities with an excellent, varied menu at reasonable prices, including childrens' specials.

To the front of the Amenity Centre there is a garden where children can play. For older children there is an Adventure play area close by.
